During the past six months LIGI continues to make significant changes to the business in the areas of staffing, equipment additions and processes. As a result, we provide our customers with expertise in manufacturing, engineering assistance and overall support. In the past LIGI has been granted 9 patents in the areas of specialize engineering and manufacturing. We have worked with multiple individuals in support of prototype design and manufacturing, i.e., from concept to finished product.
Multicam 10’x5’ Router
In growing our capabilities LIGI has added two new 3-4 axis CNC mills and a new CNC turning center during Q3. In addition, we acquired a new state of the art manual turning center. We have plans to acquire new equipment in 5 axis machining, precision grinding and heat-treating capabilities. Now in place is our 10’x5’ table router and we are processing our first orders. This machine is one of the largest Routers in south Florida.
LIGI continually expands its footprint in aerospace and again we are pleased to be part of the second manned space flight. The company is now part of a second aerospace company’s supply base, which brings in continued innovation and expansion in our abilities with customers.
As highlighted in our first letter LIGI has and is currently doing assembly operations in our Deerfield Beach facility. We provide the parts manufacturing, inspection, engineering (when needed), and assembly of the final product.
LIGI recently received our Federal Firearms license and is providing parts for one of the largest firearms manufacturers in the country. We expect to receive our ISO13485 medical certification by the end of Q1 2021 and are currently working with prospective customers.
Our exceptional staff continues to grow. We hired three additional machinists/operators to work the floor along with beginning a second shift operation to meet additional customer needs. We are proud of our current employee base and want our customers to know we are providing the best possible staff and service available.
